The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) released the school of room assignments for Geologists Licensure Examination which will be held on November 13, 14, and 15, 2023, in the National Capital Region NCR.

Things to Prepare and Bring during the Examination Day

Proper Dress Code on Examination Day

The specific dress code for the male and female examinee is without any logo or plain tuck-in polo t-shirt and a white blouse or shirt with a collar. Both examinees are advised to wear comfortable slack or decent pants.

PRC Room Assignments for November 2022 Geologists Licensure Examination

Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the room assignments for the November 2022 Geologists Licensure Examination for testing location in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR).

The licensure exams for Geologists were administered by PRC and the Board of Geologists headed by its Chairman, Fernando S. Penarroyo, and its members, Benjamin S. Austria, and Elmer B. Biiledo.

Geologists Licensure Exam Schedule and Coverage

Examination attire.

Male examinees are required to wear a white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) and decent pants or slacks.

For female examinees, a white blouse or shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), a decent skirt or slacks, and pony-tailed long hair.

Don’t forget the following on examination day:

PRC releases result of 2023 Geologists Licensure exam

MANILA, Philippines — All 10 top notchers of the recently conducted Geologists Computer-based Licensure Examination are from the University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman, the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) show.

The PRC announced on Wednesday that 165 out of 351 takers passed the November 2023 examination.

The only top-performing school is none other than the UP Diliman itself. According to the commission, it is the only school that has at least an 80% passing percentage. Forty-eight out of 52, or 92.31% of its examinees passed the licensure test.

The following are the top notchers for the November 2023 Geologists Licensure Examination:

• Paulo Lim Realengo — 83.80%
• Twinkle Caubalejo Kang — 83%
• Gerard Vann Vincent Tacuyan Gomez — 82.80%

Meanwhile, the rates of the overall performance of other schools, in alphabetical order, are as follows:

• Adamson University — 49.30%
• Mapua University (For M.I.T.) – Manila — 48.21%
• Negros Oriental State University (CVPC) – Dumaguete — 23.81%
• Partido State University – (GOA) GAO — 8.57%
• University of the Southeastern Philippines – Davao City — 60.38%

The PRC said that the test was held in the National Capital Region and was administered by the Chairman of the Board of Geology Hon. Fernando S. Peñarroyo, and the board’s members, Hon. Benjamin S. Austria and Hon. Elmer B. Billedo.

The registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done online from December 12 to 14.

However, up to now, the main carriers of catalytic additives have been mineral sorbents: silica gels, alumogels. This is obviously due to the fact that they consist of pure homogeneous components SiO2 and Al2O3, respectively. It is generally known that impurities, especially the ash elements, are catalytic poisons that reduce the effectiveness of the catalyst. Therefore, carbon sorbents with 5-15% by weight of ash elements in their composition are not used in the above mentioned technologies. However, in such an important field as a gas-mask technique, carbon sorbents (active carbons) are carriers of catalytic additives, providing effective protection of a person against any types of potent poisonous substances (PPS). In ESPE “JSC "Neorganika" there has been developed the technology of unique ashless spherical carbon carrier-catalysts by the method of liquid forming of furfural copolymers with subsequent gas-vapor activation, brand PAC. Active carbons PAC have 100% qualitative characteristics of the three main properties of carbon sorbents: strength - 100%, the proportion of sorbing pores in the pore space – 100%, purity - 100% (ash content is close to zero). A particularly outstanding feature of active PAC carbons is their uniquely high mechanical compressive strength of 740 ± 40 MPa, which is 3-7 times larger than that of  such materials as granite, quartzite, electric coal, and is comparable to the value for cast iron - 400-1000 MPa. This allows the PAC to operate under severe conditions in moving and fluidized beds.  Obviously, it is time to actively develop catalysts based on PAC sorbents for oil refining, petrochemicals, gas processing and various technologies of organic synthesis.

Victor M. Mukhin was born in 1946 in the town of Orsk, Russia. In 1970 he graduated the Technological Institute in Leningrad. Victor M. Mukhin was directed to work to the scientific-industrial organization "Neorganika" (Elektrostal, Moscow region) where he is working during 47 years, at present as the head of the laboratory of carbon sorbents.     Victor M. Mukhin defended a Ph. D. thesis and a doctoral thesis at the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (in 1979 and 1997 accordingly). Professor of Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Scientific interests: production, investigation and application of active carbons, technological and ecological carbon-adsorptive processes, environmental protection, production of ecologically clean food.

PRC Region 1 to hold licensure exam for aspiring pharmacists

DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) -- Aspiring pharmacists in Pangasinan are gearing up for a significant milestone in their professional journey as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) - Regional Office I officially announces the upcoming licensure examination on April 16 -17, 2024.   According to Lawyer Arl Ruth Sacay-Sabelo, the regional director of PRC Region 1, the examination will take place at the PRC Regional Office I Testing Rooms situated at Barangay Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan.   A total of 53 examinees from the region are expected to participate in this examination, marking a crucial step forward for these aspiring professionals.   Sabelo emphasized the importance for examinees to adhere to the mandated requirements, including bringing their Notice of Admission (NOA), pencils (No. 2), ball pens (black ink only), one piece long brown envelope, one piece long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope for valuables, as well as snacks or packed lunch placed in a transparent bag/plastic, and water.   Examinees must wear their school uniform during the examination period, Sabelo added.   She advised examinees to carefully read the special instructions and advisories in their NOA, visit and check their room assignment on the PRC official website: www.prc.gov.ph at least three to five days before the scheduled examination, and download the examination program for their reference and guidance.   In addition to the pharmacists' licensure exam, PRC Region 1 will also conduct various licensure examinations from July to August 2024, including exams for master plumbers, criminologists, medical technologists, psychologists, psychometricians, guidance counselors, mechanical engineers, certified plant mechanics, food technologists, registered electrical engineers, registered master electricians, and sanitary engineers.   For inquiries or concerns, examinees may reach out to the PRC-Regional Office I via email at [email protected]. ROOM ASSIGNMENTS: April 2024 Electronics Engineer Licensure Exam (ECE) & Electronics Technician Licensure Exam (ECT)

ECE-ECT ROOM ASSIGNMENTS 2024 – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the list of room assignments for the April 2024 Electronics Engineering (ECE) and Electronics Technician (ECT) licensure exams a few days before the exams.

The April 2024 Electronics Engineering board exams will be conducted on April 11-12, 2024, at PRC testing centers located in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga. The Board of Electronics Engineering is led by its Chairman, Engr. Alnar L. Detalla, and its members, Engr. Enrico Claro R. Delmoro and Engr. Herminio J. Orbe.

What to bring on the day of exams?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Official Receipt
• Two (2) or more pencils (No. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Calculators with the following features only-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric functions, hyperbolic and inverse hyperbolic functions, logarithmic (log/In) and exponential (e) functions, whole number or fractional power y of x denoted by xʸ, and polar to rectangular to polar conversions.

What to wear on examination day?

Here are the specified dress codes from PRC:

• For male examinees, a white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), decent pants or slacks
• For female examinees, a white blouse or shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), decent pants or slacks

What are not allowed during board exams?

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas
• Programmable calculators
• CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2018-01
• Apple, Samsung, and other smartwatches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth, and other electronic devices that may be used for communication purposes
• Bags of any kind

PRC added that they will not be responsible for any lost personal belongings.
