In The Sims 4 ’s new expansion, High School Years , your teen Sims can head out to school the same way some Sims head to work. You can go with them to control what they do throughout the school day, affecting their relationships and academic growth.
Notably, in the career tab for the teen Sim, you’ll see that they have a daily task to “do homework” after every school day (as you’d expect from school). Though homework for young Sims is not a new addition, it can be new for players who never had teenage Sims.
The homework your teen Sim has to do will be in their personal inventory , as a little blue book. You can select it and click “do homework” and your teen Sim will move to a nearby table to do it.
Based on our gameplay, not doing homework didn’t do anything too dramatic to the Sims’ school performances. As long as your teen Sim is attending class, they’ll progress in their career just fine. However, if you want them to improve their grades faster, they should actively be doing their homework.

Unfortunately the amazing Scarlet decided to stop modding and asked me to adopt some of her Mods. I decided to keep & update some of her Mods. I adjusted & reworked some of them a bit as well.
See all adopted Mods below:
Bath Soak Details
Tired of trying to remember which mood each bath soak gives you? Now you’ll see the details for the buff (mood, mood weight, and length) that your sim would receive on the Interaction as well.
(Comment by LittleMsSam: Unfortunaley it conflicted with one of my Mods, so i reworked this Mod where i override the actual Interaction Text Strings.)
♦ Mod Requirements ♦ Spa Day Game Pack required.
♦ Translations ♦ The following translations are included in the mod:
Chinese Translations (by Licer) • Includes Traditional and Simplified Dutch Translations (by flqwerz) French Translations (by Candyman) German Translations (by helene912) Italian Translations (by xISYx) Japanese Translations (by Licer) Korean Translations (by Robin) Polish Translations (by kelwiak) Spanish Translations (by Amanlen)
You can download Scarlet’s Mods via Google Drive, Drop Box & MediaFire Download Folders, which you can find here:
Google Drive ++ MediaFire
Teens/Children will complete their homework in about 10, 25, or 50 minutes depending on which one you choose. Default is about 100 minutes.
Note - If in a club using the Homework Boost perk, they will complete it a little faster. Sims with the Rebellious trait will complete slightly slower.
University students will complete their homework in about 10, 25, or 50 minutes depending on which one you choose. Default is about 150 minutes.
Additionally, they’ll be able to complete their homework even while Tense or Uncomfortable.
Note – Sims with Research & Debate skill at 3+ will complete faster than above times.
25 min - Sims will complete their homework in about 25 minutes.
10 min - Sims will complete their homework in about 10 minutes.
Only install one Addon!
(Comment by LittleMsSam: I merged the Faster Homework Mods into one Mod with Addons and reworked them a bit. The Prefer Desk is not added yet since i will try to find a way to make it “testable” so it only takes affect when Sims are alone. When they are in a Group doing Homework together i want them to use Dining Tables as well. Not sure if i can get this to work.)
♦ Mod Requirements ♦ Base game only required.
Technically Uni Files are added as well but they should not cause any Issues when Uni is not installed.

Raise certain skills while doing homework.
For Children, this adds the following options to their homework. These were already in the game, the options were just not added to the homework:
Fill Out Activity Chart (raises Motor Skill) Practice Vocabulary (raises Creative Skill) Review Social Studies (raises Social Skill) Do Math Problems (raises Mental Skill)
For Teens, this adds the following options to their homework. These were not in the game, but I wanted them to have some options as children do. So, I created them:
Solve Algebraic Expressions (raises Logic) Write Fitness Article (raises Fitness) Study Music Theory (raises Guitar) Practice Creative Writing (raises Writing) Research Astronomy (raises Rocket Science) Study Sociology (raises Charisma) Art Analysis Essay (raises Painting) Learn Lines for Play (raises Acting) Write Persuasive Essay (raises Research & Debate)
Additionally, Children and Teens will prefer to do their subject homework at a desk.
There are a few subjects that raise skills that came with EPs. However, the EPs are not required. For example, if you don’t have Discover University for the Research & Debate skill, the Write Persuasive Essay subject will be hidden for you.

Immortality Potion Tweaks
So, your Spellcaster worked so hard to learn that Immortality potion, yet they still age? Originally the Immortality potion would only protect the Sim that takes it from dying of old age. Now, they’ll no longer age after taking the potion! How about that annoying VFX that gets applied to Sims with the Immortal trait? Nope, gone!
The Mod prevents Sims with the Immortality Trait from aging. If a Teen takes the potion, they won’t stop aging until they age into a Young Adult (similar to vampires). Immortality Trait description is also updated to reflect this change.
(Comment by LittleMsSam: This Mod is a Main Mod plus optional Addon now)
No VFX Removes the VFX that occasionally gets applied to Sims with the Immortal Trait.

____________________________________________ ♦ Translations ♦
The following translations are included in the mod:
Chinese Translations (by Licer) • Includes Traditional and Simplified Dutch Translations (by flqwerz) French Translations (by Candyman) German Translations (by helene912) Italian Translations (by xISYx) Japanese Translations (by Licer) Polish Translations (by zkrwiikosci) Spanish Translations (by Amanlen) Russian by Origamika
Kiss Neck for Adults
Kiss Neck interaction is not only for Teens anymore! Young Adults and up can use this Romantic interaction as well.
No Required Ingredients
Any recipes that have required ingredients are now optional. However, you can still use them if you have them.
This includes (but not limited to):
Food Drinks Herbalism Potions (Outdoor Retreat) Serums (Get To Work) Inventions (Get To Work) Potions (Realm of Magic) Note - This should not need updated for patches. It will always include new recipes.
♦ Mod Requirements ♦ Base game only required. Even though this includes recipes from different packs, those packs are not required. Any recipe that came with a pack that you don’t have, simply won’t show up for you.
♦ Mod Conflicts ♦ This mod no longer alters game resources, therefore there’s no known conflicts. Should now work well with other cooking overhaul mods. Would not make sense to use with “Ingredients required Mods” like my More Servings Options Mod Addon.
Sims can enjoy a simple cup of tea without the extra buffs. The Plain Tea costs §5 to craft.
Inspired by Plain Tea by plasticbox that I kept updated in the comments.
This updated version has been reworked and no longer overrides existing game files. Therefore, it shouldn’t conflict with other mods and it no longer overrides the Oolong Tea.
♦ Mod Conflicts ♦ No known conflicts. Shouldn’t conflict with anything since it has it’s own resources.
♦ Credits & Special Thanks ♦ plasticbox for originally creating this mod. ____________________________________________

Publish Books On Computer
In addition to publishing your books using the mailbox, you can now publish them using the computer as well! This includes the following interactions:
Self-Publish Sell to Publisher Submit Book Copy to Literary Digest
Found by clicking Computer > Write.
These are the same interactions as the ones for the mailbox, however they do not override them. I’ve also added these to the “Publish Book” type whims/aspirations so the computer interactions will count for those as well.
Keep Books Will not destroy the Book after publishing (they cannot be republished though)
(Comment by LittleMsSam: Interactions available on all Computer including CC now. Added Addon to keep Books)

Children and Teens can now collect an allowance!
To have your Child or Teen start receiving an allowance, use the Ask for Allowance interaction on one of their parents. Then, you’ll decide whether it’s time for them to receive an allowance or not.
High Amount • Children will receive about §200 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time). • Teens will receive about §375 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time).
Medium Amount • Children will receive about §144 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time). • Teens will receive about §270 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time).
Low Amount • Children will receive about §96 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time). • Teens will receive about §180 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time).
Cheap Amount • Children will receive about §24 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time). • Teens will receive about §45 on Tuesdays and Fridays (no specific time).
Allowance amount will also depend on grades, traits, and responsibility/manners (if you have Parenthood). Therefore, the amount may be higher or lower than the above amounts listed. I chose to have them receive their allowance twice a week because some people play on shorter lifespans.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, the allowance amount will be deducted from the household funds and stored into their Allowance Account (accessible in the Household category on their phone). It’s your choice whether you want to save their allowance or not. I suggest you save it until they move out, so they can have some extra simoleons.
- Ask for Allowance (Friendly Interaction) - Available for Children and Teens while selecting their parents (or caregivers). Not available if already collecting an Allowance. Can happen autonomously.
- Allowance Account (Phone Interaction - Household Menu) - Enabled for Allowance Collectors only. They can use this to check their total balance and/or transfer funds from their Allowance Account to your Household Funds.
As long as there’s simoleons in the Allowance Account, your Sim will always be able to access it, regardless of age.
Warning - Transferring from the Allowance Account to Household Funds is permanent.
- Tease about Allowance (Mischief Interaction) - Available for Teens collecting an Allowance to use on their siblings. Can happen autonomously.
- Discontinue Allowance (Mean Interaction) - Available for Parents/Caregivers to discontinue a Child/Teen’s Allowance. The Child/Teen will receive a sad buff for 6 hours if their allowance is discontinued. Cannot happen autonomously.
- Sweet Simoleons - Happy Buff that lasts for 8 hours. Given to the Child/Teen when you agree to give them an allowance.
- Lost Allowance - Sad Buff that lasts for 6 hours. Given to Child/Teen if their allowance is discontinued.
♦ Mod Conflicts ♦ No known conflicts.
