I would just like to say that I am about 10 years behind on technology. I had been putting off joining this and just using paper because it was too difficult for me in my condition to sit down and figure out how to do all of this technical stuff. However, this young lady was just so patient with me and I cannot emphasize how patient she was with me. She was kind. She showed empathy and she showered me with confidence that she would stick with me until the end until I figured out how to login how to change my password, what things to avoid I can go on and on. I had a little trouble and tummy issues this morning, so had to run to the bathroom. She was kind enough to call me back and keep her word and finish what we started. I truly could continue to articulate in depth how this phone call went and how she was so professional yet personable and down to earth. She even affected me an a way I now I feel that I have to change my attitude, no matter how much pain I’m in because kindness is something that can spread very easily and because of her now I wanna extend that and pay it forward I hope only good things for her. As she is someone that I’ve never encountered in my adult life when it comes to customer service I hope this gets to someone on top that can reward her in some kind of special way. Review for work day from a GPC user
The app is doing ok but it could be a little more create with an automated AI that could be accessible with voice activation and speech pattern recognition for the less technological people that or older. It would help them with an understanding when there’s no one around to take them step by step in understanding what is going on in the company. Giving an employee a full understanding of an job opening position, their investments in the company helping them to grow with the company and feeling more part of the company with investment opportunities actually getting an understanding through an automated AI system that can simplify things in ways so any user would feel comfortable using to improve there opportunities for jobs in the company and also helping the company understand there employees and we all grow together as a team. Also helping the company enter the Technology Age with a smooth transition with transparency and teamwork. Other than that work day is the right step into the future.
I love using Workday
As a seasoned HR professional with over 30 years of experience, I have seen and used a lot of systems. I can truly say that nothing compares to the functionality and convenience of having everything I need in one single place. I don’t have to go anywhere but Workday to complete learning, training, check my paystubs, manage my benefits, or even set up a checkin with my manager. The added bonus is that I also get to work at Workday and share this amazing system with customers. Every time I get to demo our product to an executive team, I thrive on connecting with them, and understanding their goals so I show them ways we can improve their efficiencies so they can focus on their strategic goals.

Team Manager
Want to do work that empowers others? Join us as a Team Manager, where you’ll manage, develop, motivate, support and engage the Retail Assistants in your team. You’ll have commercial responsibility for one of our store departments, where you’ll overlook the tills and fittings rooms on your assigned floor. Together, with your team, you will create an exceptional store environment and provide an amazing customer experience. Department Manager
Your job as one of our Department Managers is to develop a high-performing and engaged team. You’ll lead that team in providing a great shopping experience for customers – while sharing your commercial expertise to make your team stronger. This role is a step up from our Team Manager role, so you’ll need experience in retail and there’ll be lots of autonomy if you want it. Assistant Store Manager
Be an Assistant Store Manager and support your Store Manager in leading your team. Store Manager
Lead one of our stores as Store Manager. Together with your Assistant Manager, Department Managers and Team Managers, you’ll set your store’s vision, all while keeping it running, delivering and succeeding. You’ll maximize sales and impact the business daily by using your commercial mindset, following your eye for trends and thus ordering your merchandise daily to drive sales. Honestly, I had managers talking to me about moving down and looking after stores there. If you’re up for it, you really can. It’s so flexible. I’ve never seen such incredible career progression. It’s one of the few places where you can go from working weekends to managing stores in 3-4 years. It’s fair to absolutely everyone. But a big part of the reason isn’t just the opportunities that come with being part of fast-paced, expanding business. It’s the training too. When I first started, it took me a while to get used to the pace, even though I joined at management level. But Primark gives you everything you need to succeed.”

Lenuta , Department Manager “The energy here at Primark is really special. I’ve always loved working with people, but the busy environment is unlike any other. And I’ll never forget my interview. It was my first ever one; all I knew was to dress smartly. They made me feel so comfortable. I never applied for any other job. I didn’t want any other job. I knew Primark was for me. I’ve always been a very organised person, so the first thing I do in the morning is plan my day. I thrive on routine, but we’ve recently been introducing new ways of working across all our stores. It’s been such an exciting challenge implementing these changes – the best part? I’ve been the one training our managers, supervisors and colleagues at Stratford in these new ways. Quite a big responsibility but one that I fully embraced and enjoyed. We even got 100% sign off in the end. A fantastic result. In a few years, I’d like to take the next step up to Assistant Manager. It would be a challenge, as I’d be managing other managers – which is a slightly different ballgame. I've only been a manager for eight months and it's been fast, I've already done so much and going that step further to Assistant Manager means I’d be able to take on even more responsibility.”

Janem , Department Manager “Before joining Primark, I worked in retail, among other things as head of department and store manager, but I wanted something new. I was looking for something to fulfil my ambitions – and I found it in Primark! In my previous job, I had already opened a new store, but opening for a completely new market is incomparable. Lots of fresh faces, new challenges, and most importantly a lot of satisfied customers. It’s amazing! In preparation for the opening of the store, I felt most proud of my work. Store layout planning, shift planning, the first order of goods – and of course the store opening day. When I started, I was surprised by the number of colleagues in the store, each responsible for their area. It's the best organisation I've ever seen in retail. Katrien , People and Culture Manager “I don't work alone – we are always part of a team when we work at Primark. As long as we determine our objectives together, I am free to define how I want to achieve them. Here, no two days are the same. Mainly because I am in a People and Culture generalist role. Together with my People and Culture Supervisor, we deal with all human resources related topics for the Primark store in Hasselt, from planning and schedules to the timely payment of salaries. We are part of a growing company, and we operate in a very fast-paced environment. There are always new things happening, including things you may not have planned. You have to be resilient and enjoy taking on new challenges every day. I feel that sense of trust across the whole organisation at Primark. I also feel that I can personally trust the people I work closely with. For example, I completely trust my People and Culture Supervisor to replace me at the store when I am on vacation. I know she will do the job properly; I trust her to make the best decisions in my absence.”

Karen , Retail Assistant “I love helping people and interacting with our customers. As a Retail Assistant, I help them find clothes that will fit and make them feel fabulous! My favourite part is their smiles when I tell them they look great in an outfit they picked out and are considering purchasing. I work with all kinds of people, from mums to students, and they are some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. We are like a family. I truly love seeing them every day! I love my hours! I open the store and am out by 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, which means I get to be with my family for dinner every night. I can see my nephew on my days off, which are set, so I never have to worry about what my schedule is from week to week. I’ve found Primark hours to be very flexible, and I’ve seen how this schedule works great for all the students we hire.”
